Truth as Experience, T.T. I graduated from the University of Washington with degrees in applied math and economics. I was born to believing parents and eventually decided to attend the Full-Time Training in Anaheim after college. In the Full-Time Training I have really enjoyed that the truth I learn is not to be stored away, never to be used again. Rather, the truth I learn is for me to apply in my daily life. One such truth was spoken by Paul in 1 Thessalonians 5:16, Always rejoice. I should always rejoice, regardless of my circumstances. In the Full-Time Training, I have time to preach the gospel, which frequently can be a discouraging experience due to rejections. In one particular experience, I was preaching the gospel and was rejected. I immediately became discouraged, but the person who was preaching with me said, Praise the Lord for the rejection! This was a direct application of 1Thessalonians 5:16, and it brought me out of my discouragement and into rejoicing. I was praising the Lord for something seemingly negative, but it was so enjoyable! The rest of the gospel time we spent praising the Lord for whatever happened. When I do this, Satan cannot bother or influence me. When Satan sends something negative, I praise the Lord. When he sends something positive, I praise the Lord. My response is always the same whatever he does. What a glory to God and what a shame to Satan!
